Actor Headshots in Boston

Your headshot is your first audition. Before a casting director reads your resume or watches your reel, they look at your face and decide whether you're worth a closer look. A generic, overlit photo with a forced smile won't get you there. You need an image that shows who you are — not who you think they want you to be.
I photograph actors at my studio in Sherborn, about 30 minutes west of downtown Boston. Sessions are built around coaching — I work with you on expression, energy and subtle adjustments until we capture something that reads as genuinely you. Not a mask. Not a performance. The version of you that walks into the room.
Whether you're submitting for film, TV, theater or commercial work, your headshot needs to communicate range and authenticity in a single frame. That's what we work toward in every session.
Most of my actor clients come from the Boston area — from the theater community in Cambridge and Somerville to commercial actors working out of agencies downtown. The drive to Sherborn is about 30 minutes from most parts of the city, and the studio is a dedicated space built specifically for portrait and headshot work.
I've photographed actors at every stage — from students building their first book to working professionals refreshing their materials after a look change. Every session gets the same level of coaching and attention, because the headshot matters just as much at the beginning of your career as it does in the middle of it.
